Gold Prospectors Association of America

After reading about the Swift River gold in Maine,  you’re probably ready to check out the gold panning locations nearest to you.  You might want to consider a membership in the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA).  While membership has a price, the GPAA website is free.   Let me tell you about the free stuff first.

 

You can sign up for their e-newsletter which will give you special offers, info on events, and much more.  Events?  There are Gold Shows all over the country.  Their website will tell you about them; plus they have a blog about them.

They produce a show called Gold Fever on the Outdoor Channel.  It’s really a great show, and appears every Saturday at noon (eastern standard time).  It also appears at 6:00am on Saturday.  The nice thing is that, under the Media tab of their site, they have a section that says “Watch Shows.”  You can actually watch several of their shows there online and with no commercials!
