Recently,i got a few canceled and closed mining claims from the LR2000 system.(arkansas) I spent two days finding them, and asking forestry people, blm, county courthouse search, ect. They all say it s not possible to claim a mine. What am i doing wrong, should i stake the claim anyway and see what happens?........

I am retiring within the next few months. I want to find a likely looking spot to file a gold clam and to work it either by myself or with a friend or two. I recently spent a week in the Quartsite Arizona area and met some very interesting prospectors. How can I know how to chose an area to file a claim on? Any suggestions and info will be greatly appreciated. It is my intent to live out the rest of my life working on that claim. You may call me if you wish. 501 941 2469.

                             Thanks,
                              Paul W. Ashmore Sr
